Thirty-eight years ago, Bob Eubanks and Paul Fellers, orthopedic surgeons from Fairhope, Alabama began traveling to underdeveloped countries to provide surgical interventions. Because of the need they encountered, they began making yearly trips overseas.

In 1999 Bayside Medical Missions, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization was formed. Many countries were served. In the year 2000 BMM committed to long term work in Ecuador providing volunteer opportunities for health care professionals to offer medical care to those who would otherwise not be able to receive it. Working together through strong relationships with local physicians and professionals quality ongoing care is achieved.

We seek to serve with love and compassion those whom God places in our reach. To provide the best care possible, enhancing the lives of the people we serve. While the services of the volunteer doctors are provided free of charge, there are always expenses associated with the surgeries for which we seek sponsorships through donations.

Mission Statement

Motivated by gratitude for Jesus Christ, His love and saving grace, we are dedicated to providing excellent surgical care, with the goal of demonstrating God’s compassionate love for all people and with the hope that each person will come to know His Son Jesus as their personal Savior.

Made possible through the collaboration between Bayside Medical Missions, Samaritan’s Purse and the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, this two-operating room, state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center was constructed. It provides surgeons and staff a place to volunteer their skills and make a difference in the lives of people who otherwise have no hope to correct their musculo-skeletal conditions.
